Stress Management in Insecure Environments

Overview

An effective stress coping capability is enabling for the organization itself, as well as for teams and individuals. Recent developments in Stress and Critical Incident Management (CISM) are extended in this course to help humanitarian staff to cope better when confronted with extreme and insecure contexts.

Objectives

This course aims at
- Giving participants a clear understanding of states of extreme stress and traumatic reactions in the context of field work;
- Providing a number of practical tools to better cope with those issues, for both individuals and teams.
