Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Training Programmes

In recent years, the CHP has been partnering with agencies in emergency operations, offering training programmes for both international and national/local staff in the areas of mental health and psychosocial support, constantly updating and adapting to the needs of these organisations.

The core principles guiding the CHP’s psychosocial training programs include a human rights and a non-discriminatory approach; a community-based approach, based on the concept of resilience as fundamental to the recovery process; building on communities’ existing psychosocial resources; focusing on capacity building.

Our training programmes support a sustainable development perspective. Many emergency interventions are planned short term, leaving the population to continue on their own without the necessary resources, except when local NGOs have been trained during the emergency phase.

The CHP offers a comprehensive array of training modules, which can be tailored to the needs of an organisation.
