Distance Learning

Distance learning and humanitarian staff

Why distance learning for aid workers? Throughout the world, emergency personnel such as humanitarian workers, war reporters, the diplomatic corps, peace keepers are being submitted to more and more pressure and violence and need high quality preparation to do their job efficiently and in the safest way possible.

However, training has to be made available quickly, and be practical and cheap. Distance learning – or e-learning – is increasingly the solution not only for general knowledge, but also to help staff bridge theory with its immediate translation into practice in the field.

Since a long time, the CHP has been interested in this possibility of enlarging its training target and offer quality training even in the remostest countries. It has created a mutimedia e-learning kit on Stress Management in Insecure Environment which can be found on this website.
