In house Staff Care Program

Staff care program

A decade of experience in managing humanitarian staff has shown that agencies’ HR departments are usually faced with two major issues: high levels of stress in ordinary field life, which can end up in breaking of contracts, rapid staff turnover, health problems; and critical incident stress after security or major events, which can cause serious mental problems in the long run.

In recent years, many international organisations have taken their responsibilities in providing staff care in a coherent, structured way, through in-house Stress management programs.

The CHP has condensed its decade of experience in such a program, helping and coaching NGOs in building their tailored in-house system.
