Support

Psychosocial support given to humanitarian field staff by their organisation has been shown, in various studies, to be a major preventive factor of future mental health complications.

It means that it is part of the organisation’s ethical responsibility to offer a structured system that is professional enough to avoid or mitigate those consequences of difficult misions. The CHP has created a generic Staff Care Program which NGOs can adapt to their Human Resource policies.

The CHP also offers here, on this website, an Email Support Service. A team of professional humanitarian responders answer anonymously all the call for assistance, in all confidentiality.
